Tennessee Congressmen Hate Liberty (with 1 exception)

The TN Campaign for Liberty has just released the results of our federal candidate survey and honestly the results are pretty pathetic. Only 1 Congressman from Tennessee answered the questionnaire about their stance on important liberty issues.

Ramsey Admits His Ignorance On The Constitution Regarding Individual Rights (Forced Blood Extraction Laws)
When asked, Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey admitted his ignorance about the Constitution(s) and doesn't even pretend to try to know the law as it relates to individual rights, personal privacy, etc.
This was in regards to the new TN law that allows the cops to FORCE you to give a blood sample.
One has to wonder if any of this blood goes into the DNA database that Ramsey wanted? More specifically, does Rep Diane Black's medical testing company get the contract for this?
Here is the video -

Diane Black Enters “Conservative Hall of Shame”
Big-government Congressman Diane Black in TN has earned her way into the Madison Project's "Conservative Hall of Shame"
From their site:
Diane Black was one of those members who ran as a Tea Partier in a conservative district, but turned out to be a big disappointment. In 2011, she voted against the RSC budget, the effort to reinstate pre-Pelosi spending levels, the elimination of the Solyndra-loan program, and a number of spending cut amendments. She voted for the debt ceiling deal, the minibus, and omnibus bills that violated every tenet of the Tea Party. Those votes earned her a dismal 70 average score, and when compared to her conservative district, she qualifies for the Hall of Shame for 2011.
Hall of Shame members who’s conservative ratings are the worst of the worst, radically underperforming the conservative expectations of their districts. These are our pale-pastel politicians – the ones who blur the distinction between the parties. They muddle the conservative message by supporting their own forms of stimulus, bailouts, and corporate welfare. Their liberal records speak volumes…
Also of note, TN Congressman Phil Roe was awarded a slot in the Hall of Shame too!
Is Diane Black The Most Corrupt Member Of Congress?

A judge in Tennessee has found that ethics allegations against Representative Diane Black are "true".
From the article:
David Black, husband of Diane Black (R-Gallatin), and his drug testing firm, Aegis Sciences Corporation, filed suit in the midst of a hotly contested U.S. House primary campaign against Lou Ann Zelenik in 2010 after her campaign began airing ads that accused Black of steering millions of dollars in no-bid state contracts to her husband’s firm through her position as a state senator, in violation of state law.
“The communication was true or at least substantially true,” reads the April ruling by Binkley, who sided with Zelenik and summarily dismissed Black’s lawsuit as frivolous....
Documents reveal accusations of Black and her husband profiting from her political power in the state senate were nothing new, having been copied nearly word-for-word from a Tennessee Democratic Party mailer during Black’s 2008 re-election campaign for state senate.
Additionally, Black’s actions were detailed in a December 2007 issue of The Gallatin Newspaper, and were the subject of a WSMV Channel 4 News investigation in January of the same year....
Black and her husband are in the process of building what could be the largest residence in the state, a palatial 27,000-square foot home on Old Hickory Lake in her home county of Sumner, and her required financial disclosures indicate millions of dollars in yearly profits from Aegis and other ventures.
She is listed as one of the wealthiest members of Congress, and, since her election to the U.S. House of Representatives, Aegis Sciences has expanded heavily by winning additional drug testing contracts nationwide.

Corker and Alexander Side With Liberal Democrats On Refusal to Audit Federal Reserve

Why are they against transparency of the Fed?
What are they hiding?
Rep. Scott Desjarlais (TN-4) has joined with Rep. Ron Paul (TX-14) last week to co-sponsor his bill that calls for an audit of the Federal Reserve.
With Rep. Desjarlais’ decision this week, all the Republican Congressmen in Tenn. are now co-sponsors of the bill. Among those not supporting the bill are Democratic Representatives Steve Cohen (TN-9) and Jim Cooper (TN-5) as well as Republican Senators Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker (Senate version is S202). In fact Senator Alexander says the audit "is a bad idea" and Senator Corker refuses to sign on to the full audit.
H.R.459, known as the “Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011,” would require a full independent unrestricted audit of the Federal Reserve be performed and a detailed report with the findings be provided to Congress by the end of 2012.
Ryan Harring, currently a Tenn. State House candidate and former Rutherford County Campaign for Liberty Coordinator, played a key role in convincing Rep. Desjarlis to support the bill and become a co-sponsor.
Send the Senators' staff an e-mail and let them know that you disapprove of their refusal to allow sunshine on the Federal Reserve!

Rep Diane Black FAILS Small Government Test!

Republican Congressman Diane Black (TN-6) has failed a small-government litmus test. In fact, when her voting record is carefully analyzed her score is that of 71% or "F"
Given the fact that she voted for pork and waste, more spending, and more debt, it's no wonder she FAILS as a legislator.
Rep Stephen Fincher (TN-8) actually did WORSE than Diane Black.
The results of the test were just released today, here are the details:

Diane Black Votes For More Spending Again!

Last week Congresswoman Diane Black (R-TN) voted to spend an additional $182 billion funding various government agencies for fiscal 2012. The funding was produced by a joint committee with the Senate over the resistance of some Texans and other conservative House Republicans. Her vote to spend this money comes at a time when the government’s budget crisis is on it’s way to reaching a climax as spending levels are already at an all time high.
Many political observers consider this a poor decision on her part since she is likely vulnerable among not just Tea Partiers but activists within her own party. One prominent local Republican official in her district speaking on condition of anonymity noted “her votes so far to raise spending, increase the debt, voting for pork-laden bills, and past questionable family business deals have given a lot of the local GOP serious pause about supporting her re-election bid. In short, many of us feel she has betrayed the principles of the Party”
Senator Lamar Alexander from Tennessee voted for this spending increase as also.

Is Lt. Gov Ron Ramsey Corrupt With Congresswoman Diane Black? (DNA Bill)
An interesting development...
Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey's recent bill to forcefully steal DNA from innocent individuals was introduced into the TN Legislature a few weeks ago. Of course this bill has serious Constitutional issues, but that aside, following the money trail causes one to ask if the Lt. Governor is being corrupted by Congresswoman Diane Black and her husband's successful medical testing company?
Here are the FACTS easily laid out (but don't take our word for it, do your own research):
1-Lt Governor Ron Ramsey introduced a bill to steal DNA by force from innocent individuals and then store the DNA records in a government database : http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SB0257&ga=107
2-Congresswoman Diane Black's husband, David Black, owns Aegis labs which is a very lucrative, entrenched, and politically connected corporation (it employs Bill Frist): http://www.aegislabs.com/About_Aegis
3-Aegis labs specializes in forensics and law enforcement crime lab testing, etc holding multiple government contracts. Congresswoman Diane Black's husband's company could potentially stand to vastly increase their revenue at the expense of taxpayers if this bill passes: http://politics.nashvillepost.com/?s=aegis
4-Congresswoman Diane Black's husband, David Black, has given thousands of $$ to Lt Governor Ron Ramsey's campaigns: http://www.state.tn.us/tref/
Hmmm.... Do you think there could possibly be a connection here?
Besides Lt Governor Ron Ramsey's blatant disregard for the Constitution's prohibition on unreasonable search and seizure, despite Lt Governor Ron Ramsey's sidestepping of serious questions about the bill, despite Lt Governor Ron Ramsey's inability to explain the necessity and Constitutionality of this bill, one has to wonder if Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey has introduced this bill at the direction of one of his major donating families, Diane and David Black?
Furthermore, other questions about this DNA-grabbing bill linger --
Was there any quid-pro-quo?
Is Lt Governor Ron Ramsey the puppet of Congresswoman Diane Black and her husband's mega corporation?
Did the Lt Governor take a "legal" bribe?
How much money would Congresswoman Diane Black and her husband potentially profit from the passage of this bill?
Is Lt Governor Ron Ramsey simply paying back Aegis and the Black family for generous campaign contributions by introducing this bill?
Have any ethics violations transpired by either Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey or Congresswoman Diane Black?
If this issue concerns you, then you should call the Lt Governor and ask him these questions yourself!
And while you have him on the phone you should tell him to yank the big-government statist Obama-like DNA bill he has introduced (SB257).

DNA bill scandal possibly uncovered in TN?
Opposition against Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey's DNA bill is growing by leaps and bounds!

Recently uncovered, Congresswoman Diane Black's husband's company, Aegis medical testing, is on the state dole. In recent times Aegis received well in excess of $630,000 from the State of Tennessee for "services rendered". Their company Aegis also received over $61,000 from the government in the forms of "grants and subsidies". Must be nice to have built-in business with the government?
SOURCE: http://tn.gov/opengov/vendors/vpfy/index.html
The profits that were pocketed by David Black from Aegis medical testing were then used to fund Lt. Ron Ramsey's campaigns.

It's quite possible that if Ron Ramsey's DNA bill passes, Congresswoman Diane Black and her husband could potentially stand to vastly increase their revenue from the government by getting even more lucrative government contracts for Aegis testing. One political observer called this the "worst bill of the year" not only due to the potential corruption, but due to the absolute violation of individual rights as guaranteed by the TN and US Constitutions. Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey is trying to forcefully steal DNA from those who are innocent.
You should call and e-mail Lt Governor Ron Ramsey and ask him to specifically name, other than government agencies, who has been lobbying for the passage of this bill? He has sidestepped this question in the past.

Diane Black voted for pork and waste
Congresswoman Diane Black voted for wasting $3 billion dollars on a pork project in Speaker John Boehner’s Ohio district. This project was an unnecessary and unneeded engine built by GE (who happens to own MS/NBC); every branch of the United States military AND even the Bush administration said it was a complete waste. She refused to vote to pull its funding thereby condoning the continuation of this pork project.
Watch this brief 2 minute video about the engine and why it isn't needed:

Tea Party REJECTS Diane Black (R-TN) [w/ VIDEO]
The local tea parties and conservatives have REJECTED big-government Republican Diane Black especially after her recent move to take the country into more debt by voting to raise the debt ceiling.
Read this article and watch the video of the recent conservative protest outside her office. You can tell they are ready to kick her big-government largesse to the curb:
http://www.tennessean.com/article/20110817/NEWS02/308170131/Tea-party-protesters-slam-Diane-Black-debt-vote?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE
And just to be fair here is her lame attempt at trying to spin this rejection in her favor (and failing miserably at it).... no one is buying what she is trying to sell: http://wpln.org/?p=29649
Granted she is allegedly trying to have her Congressional district gerrymandered in her favor, and her personal wealth may just be enough for her to buy her re-election. However several political experts have noted that she is exceptionally vulnerable to a conservative primary challenge from the right if one were to arise.
TN Republicans vote for MORE DEBT!!!

This plan has been touted as a great budget plan because it "eventually" fixes the budget, but here are the facts contained in this plan:
- They voted for 10 more years of deficit spending
- They voted to add between $5-11 TRILLION dollars to the national debt
- They voted to spend a total of $40 TRILLION over the next 10 years
- This plan will REQUIRE the debt ceiling to be raised
- By voting for this they voted for an obviously unbalanced budget (in fact it doesn't fully balance until the year 2040)
- They actually voted to continue to increase spending over the next few years (it merely slows the rate of spending, not actually cutting spending anytime soon)
- They voted for a budget that was bigger than what we had under Bill Clinton
ARE THEY SERIOUS?!?!
Do they think that we are so dumb that we won't see through this?
Are you going to buy what they are shoveling?
E-mail them and ask why they voted for more debt, deficits, and spending last week:
